World's Biggest Spider Weighs As Much As A Newborn Puppy
Near northern Brazil and southern Venezuela there is one of the biggest spiders that weighs as much as a newborn puppy. The giant terrestrial creatures that belong to the tarantula family live inside deep burrows in marshy or swampy areas, Mates dies soon after but females can live up to 25 years. His eyesight is poor but his hearing is great. His fangs are almost 1 inch long. The spider has a leg span of up to 12 inches (30 centimeters). The Goliath has sensitive hair that tells him if there is danger. Its biggest dangers are big cats especially the jaguar and koati. If it’s in danger he scratches his hair and uses it like missiles on his enemies. When he does it, animals leave and lose their appetite and then the Goliath runs away.
